The World of Art

Welcome to the World of Art!

Hello there! My name is Arturo P. Caronongan III, but you may call me "Art" for short. I am a lecturer (Certified Google and Microsoft Educator), programmer (Oracle Certified Associate in Java SE 8), researcher, and a lifelong learner from the Philippines. Of course, I'm also a musician and a competitive gamer (known as R2ROKID9) on the side.

As you can see, I'm pretty much a mix of so many worlds. From being a competitive programming coach in C++ / Java, delivering lectures about Mobile and Application development, using Machine Learning and Data Science to work on Anti Cancer research, to being a pianist who performs in front of an audience or a competitive gamer representing the Philippines and Southeast Asia in International tournaments.

The bottom line is I love learning, challenging myself, and becoming better at anything I can do. I also love solving problems, be it research problems, development / programming problems, or even simple puzzles (Need a team member for your Escape Room? Hit me up!) to keep myself mentally stimulated.

True to that statement, I'm currently working on finishing my PhD in Computer Science at De La Salle University, Manila. In the meantime, I hope to collect knowledge, experience, and happy memories along the way.

About This Site

This site came to life after completing a guided project in Coursera entitled "Build Your Portfolio Website with HTML and CSS". And true to my nature of wanting to get better at things I do, I decided to go beyond what the project offered and create other modules (albeit simple) using Bootstrap, Node, and refresh my Web Development basics. Along with creating a portfolio, I wanted to make a site where I can record achievements I am proud of or milestones I find memorable. (Without the ads of social media sites, of course!)

You're free to have a look at my LinkedIn profile for a technical summary of my works or access my GitHub and SoundCloud for projects / musical compositions. Feel free to use the navigation bar to maneuver through different sections of my site. Here, you will find a more detailed explanation of my favorite publications, courses I've taught as a lecturer, some accomplishments / milestones, and information about my music compositions and time as a competitive gamer (In Jubeat / Dance Dance Revolution).

You can also check out an online version of my Resume, if you want a quick summary of my technical and professional skills. Should you wish to get in touch with me for any project (be it development, research, or anything), feel free to contact me directly through my e-mail or any of my social media sites indicated on the navigation bar or in the online resume itself.
